Chapter 2: Eleven Succubi, One Chaotic Household
"Explain this to me!" Cheng Hai hissed into the phone, covering it with his hand. "I ordered a Succubus without that thing! You sent me a completely male one! A man! And you sent eleven of them! Do you think my house can even fit that many people?!"
The voice on the other end changed, reverting to its initial weak, listless tone. "How many people these days don't have that thing? Don't be so picky. Besides, we offer ten times the compensation for faulty goods. To save you the trouble of sending them back, we sent you eleven at once. Isn't that better?"
Cheng Hai was speechless, completely unprepared for such a shop. His anger flared.
Now he understood why the person had said what they did during their initial call.
He truly wished he could go back three days and strangle himself.
"Fine, what about the compensation you promised earlier? 39,999!"
The other voice replied matter-of-factly, "Is there a number on the shipping box?"
"Uh, yeah. So?"
"Our Succubi originally cost 49,998. You got them for 9,999. Doesn't that mean we gave you 39,999 in free value? Did we ever promise that 39,999 would be in cash? No, we didn't."
Cheng Hai gripped his phone, unable to believe what he was hearing.
The person on the other end continued, "We have recordings of everything. We haven't lied about a single word, and we've met all your requirements. As stated in the fine print at the bottom of our advertisements, the Succubus Shop does not offer after-sales support."
"How was anyone supposed to see that tiny text?!"
"There's no rule about font size for such notices. We've done our due diligence." The person added, "So, sir, enjoy your Succubus Babies. Bye."
Succubus Babies?! Succubus Babies?!
Bullshit!
What kind of bond could a straight man like me have with male Succubi?!
Cheng Hai wanted to fly to their headquarters right now and slap every single one of them!
What the hell is this?! This is blatant consumer fraud! They're playing with people!
In his fury, Cheng Hai momentarily lost control of his emotions. His body moved slightly more than intended, making a faint sound. Instantly, a streak of gold burst into the room.
"Cheng Hai! You're awake!"
The moment he spoke, the other ten Succubi outside the living room burst in. The small master bedroom was instantly packed so tightly it was impossible to move, and a chorus of "Cheng Hai!" swirled around his ears in a dizzying 360-degree vortex.
The golden-haired, blue-eyed Succubus who had captured his heart at first glance truly had a face as beautiful as an angel's. Each glance was a feast for the eyes, but having eleven such faces staring at him at once was less about beauty and more about a dizzying, overwhelming impact.
"Cheng Hai, did you sleep well?" "Cheng Hai, can we really not call you Master?" "Cheng Hai, why don't you sleep with us?" "Cheng Hai, are you hungry?" "Cheng Hai." "Cheng Hai."
"Enough!"
Cheng Hai roared, he was about to go insane from hearing the name "Cheng Hai."
He had explicitly forbidden the Succubi from calling him Master that morning.
If a female companion playfully called him that, he might find it a little titillating. But the thought of a group of male Succubi—all taller than his 1.8 meters—calling him Master in their deep, magnetic voices was utterly bizarre and unsettling.
Although he knew that same-sex relationships as he understood them didn't exist in the ABO world, Cheng Hai, having spent over twenty years on Earth absorbing traditional views on gender differences, truly couldn't accept the sight of a male Alpha and a male Omega together, especially with the Omega waddling around with a swollen belly.
Rumor had it that in the ABO world, all genders possessed reproductive cavities, varying only in their developmental maturity.
Cheng Hai could only be grateful that he had transmigrated here in his original form. Though deemed disabled, at least he was absolutely incapable of getting pregnant.
Cheng Hai had only wanted to quiet down these chattering Succubi, but his harshness only made them feel wronged.
Their eyes rapidly welled up with tears.
Cheng Hai stared in horror at the eleven Succubi before him. If they all started crying, the floor would probably be flooded!
"Don't cry! Don't cry!"
He was about to lose his mind.
When he first received the shipment, Cheng Hai had tried to ignore the eleven Succubi. But someone must have programmed them with some bizarre protocol.
If their Master hadn't enjoyed them immediately, they would be utterly failures.
So, the eleven tall, broad-shouldered male Succubi, ignoring Cheng Hai's inner screams of terror, burst into tears in his home, like eleven water buffaloes simultaneously breaking their dams.
The sound was deafening, their tears flowing freely.
And because they were crying, their wails stretched into long, drawn-out moans, a completely demonic cacophony that pierced the ears.
Cheng Hai had one weakness: he couldn't stand to see people cry.
Whether man or woman, anyone who cried in front of him left him utterly helpless.
The reason was simple: in his past, he had a younger sister twelve years his junior who had long since mastered his vulnerability. Whenever she wanted something or felt wronged, she would burst into tears before him.
Over time, Cheng Hai developed a conditioned fear of hearing anyone cry.
Seeing the Succubi preparing to cry as they had before, Cheng Hai quickly waved his hands.
With a stern expression, he declared, "No crying!"
The eleven Succubi forcibly held back the tears that were about to fall.
Good. At least they didn't cry.
Cheng Hai breathed a sigh of relief, patting his chest.
But the next moment...
Gurgle—
"Who's hungry?" Cheng Hai asked reflexively.
One of the eleven Succubi silently raised his hand.
"How are you hungry so fast? Didn't the shop give you any food when they shipped you?"
"No..."
The Succubus who raised his hand looked dejected again, but before Cheng Hai could say another word, a chorus of gurgling stomachs filled the room.
Now all eleven Succubi raised their hands.
Looking at the eleven ravenous Succubi, and then remembering the ten thousand yuan he'd wasted skipping stones...
Cheng Hai rolled his eyes again and fainted once more.
────────────
When Cheng Hai woke up again, it was to the aroma of delicious food.
He groggily opened his eyes to find a feast spread before him. The dishes were a balanced mix of meat and vegetables, each one a masterpiece of color, aroma, and flavor. The man in the apron before him gazed at Cheng Hai with sparkling eyes.
To his surprise, these succubi were actually excellent cooks.
As a two-dimensional artist, Cheng Hai lived in a perpetual state of chaos. Cooking for himself was nearly impossible. When hunger struck, he'd resort to instant noodles or canned food, or, in dire straits, force himself to order takeout with a delivery fee as high as five yuan.
He hadn't eaten such home-style dishes in so long.
The succubi pushed the dishes toward Cheng Hai, eagerly awaiting his reaction as he tasted them.
Every dish was utterly delicious, indistinguishable from the ones his mother used to make.
Looking at the gentle, attentive succubi beside him and the steaming, fragrant meal before him, Cheng Hai found himself thinking that letting them stay and be pampered wasn't such a bad idea.
Cheng Hai was moved. He remembered his days on Earth.
But this sentiment didn't last long. When he discovered that these dishes were actually takeout the succubi had secretly ordered using his phone, with a delivery fee as high as twelve yuan, all his tenderness was swept away by fury.
He also discovered that before he woke up, the group of succubi had already ordered multiple food deliveries, filling their bellies before ordering him some home-style dishes.
To think I believed they'd made it themselves! To think I believed succubi didn't need to eat! The anime clearly said they survive on that thing_! Liars! All liars!_
He was out of money! He'd been swindled out of 10,000 yuan! The meager royalties he'd earned had been completely devoured by these insatiable, deceitful succubi.
Cheng Hai threw the front door wide open and began kicking the succubi out one by one.
Eleven succubi, just kicking them with his foot alone, meant eleven kicks!
Poor old Cheng Hai was exhausted.
Panting heavily, Cheng Hai glared at the eleven succubi standing at the door. The succubi, finally realizing they'd done something wrong, hung their heads in pitiful silence.
But unfortunately for them, their "owner" was a cold-hearted, straight man who was completely immune to their tricks.
Cheng Hai pointed at them, his voice hoarse with rage. "I'm telling you, I can't afford you! I've already been scammed out of 10,000! I can't make ends meet! If I keep these Succubus Babies around, I'm just asking for death!"
"Cheng Hai—" The Succubus Babies cried out in panic, trying to stop him. Without a moment's hesitation, Cheng Hai slammed the door shut, ignoring their desperate pleas.
The heavy door completely muffled their voices.
This is killing me! This is killing me!
In despair, Cheng Hai checked his bank balance. Eight years of savings had dwindled to a three-digit sum.
In the ABO world, utility bills were several times more expensive than back on Earth.
Why doesn't this government have an anti-scam app?
Whatever.
Cheng Hai sat back down at his computer, forcing himself to stop thinking about the Succubus Babies and focus on his tablet and screen.
The male Alpha's body was mostly complete. He'd drawn the... thing... below according to his understanding. But the problem was...
Where am I supposed to put the remaining nineteen?
Cheng Hai's mind was once again on the verge of collapse.
The client had offered no reference materials, suggestions, or proposals. He had simply coldly dropped the requirement of "twenty bulls" and swaggered off, completely indifferent to the artist's despair.
Humans cannot imagine things they have never seen.
Even Cheng Hai, who had witnessed countless bizarre things, couldn't fathom how to arrange these twenty bulls.
Taking a deep breath, Cheng Hai silently focused his gaze on the alpha's limbs...
Late at night, Cheng Hai finally finished the draft. He stretched wearily, trying to alleviate the discomfort of prolonged sitting.
His old, whirring brain suddenly remembered the succubi he had abandoned at the door.
When they had first been locked up, these succubi had been making a racket, but now they were silent?
Cheng Hai calmed himself.
These succubi appeared to have their own minds. They had limbs, were tall and strong, and were quite attractive. They could have easily escaped by now.
Cheng Hai grabbed his pajamas and went to the bathroom to wash up.
He couldn't afford to heat water, so except for winter, he always showered in cold water.
The icy water surged over his body, and his groggy brain finally began to stir.
Though he'd spent most of the day with these Succubi, he knew not a single one of them was particularly bright. They had beautiful faces, but when faced with trouble, they just whined and acted pitiful.
He suddenly recalled all those news articles he often scrolled past—Omegas who forgot their heat cycles, Omegas who went into heat on the road, Alphas losing their animalistic instincts...
Cheng Hai finally realized he'd overlooked a crucial question since the Succubi were delivered to his home:
What gender are they?
The ABO world was easy to understand: those with heroic features and striking appearances were usually Alphas, while those who were delicate, pretty, and cute were typically Omegas.
Given the Succubi's stunning beauty, it was obvious they were Omegas.
Could it be... they're in heat?!
Cheng Hai shuddered, quickly removed the bath towel, and wiped himself dry before hastily putting on his pajamas and rushing to the door.
As he pulled the door open, countless scenarios flashed through his mind.
Perhaps the succubi had already fled, leaving the entrance empty.
Perhaps they'd succumbed to their heat in the middle of the night and were now freely mating with stray Alpha dogs right outside his door.
Or perhaps...
He'd imagined many possibilities, but he never expected to see a group of succubi huddled by the wall, clinging to his laundry as if it were a lifeline. They'd curled into pathetic little balls, using the faint scent of Cheng Hai clinging to the clothes to drift into sleep.
Ah... really.
Looking at the scene before him, that damnable pity surged through him once more.
It was early spring. While the days weren't particularly cold, the nights still carried a biting chill that would freeze anyone foolish enough to go without warmth.
Cheng Hai couldn't possibly drag every succubus into his room.
With no other choice, Cheng Hai had to take out his spare blankets, sheets, and even the blanket he used under the bed, and cover the Succubi with them.
Fortunately, since they were wearing so little, the Succubi had all huddled together to catch Cheng Hai's scent. Otherwise, these blankets wouldn't have been enough to cover them all.
After covering all eleven of them, Cheng Hai didn't bother going back to his room to sleep. Only a bare wooden plank remained in his master bedroom—what was he supposed to sleep on?
Anyway, this place was just an abandoned, unmanaged wasteland. Unless someone was looking for trouble, the only people who came here were garbage collectors and delivery drivers.
Cheng Hai simply squeezed himself into a gap between the Succubi, deciding to sleep together like close brothers on a communal bed.
The Succubi's body heat was still quite high.
For the first time, Cheng Hai felt warmth, and he quickly fell asleep.
The Succubus Cheng Hai had chosen smelled his favorite scent. His nostrils twitched, his furrowed brow relaxed, and he wrapped Cheng Hai in his arms like a small animal.
